Fried Egg Colour

Fried Egg Colour
Exclusive special edition of Hans Olsen’s timeless 50s design in brand new colours curated by the award-winning designer Alfredo Häberli. With deep respect for the modernist design and the inherent quality of the armchair, he has created an elegant colour palette and monochrome interpretation that underscores the essence of the Fried Egg while adding a modern feel and edginess. He carefully selected all the colours and fabrics, and what at first glance looks like a single colour is actually a sensuous encounter between multiple shades and textures - a perfect match for Hans Olsen’s playful idiom with its abundance of personality and warmth. Due to its distinctive shape, this roomy, comfortable chair was christened ‘FRIED EGG’, because that is exactly what it looks like when viewed from above. The flat armrest invites you casually to swing your legs up on the edge if you really want to relax. The Fried Egg is known and loved for both its iconic design and its comfort. So, Alfredo Häberli focused exclusively on the colour scheme - a simple statement with great emotional significance. His monochrome interpretation enhances the Fried Egg with a new depth and the subtle impact of the colour revives the chair’s relevance. The special edition Fried Egg is available in six curated colour combinations, each with its own individual character, but coordinated to facilitating the option of combining different colours in a single chair. Choose from the Light Blue, Sour Yellow, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Dark Blue, Rust and Red.
