Herringbone Upcycle

Herringbone Upcycle
An innovative and exclusive console table with a top made from residual material. It is a unique, sustainable reinterpretation of the Herringbone console table, and makes circular use of materials to benefit the environment. Its consummate elegance makes it a perfect storage piece in a hallway or, combined with a mirror, in a bedroom. It is also perfect in the living room for displaying vases and storing magazines and boxes. The console table has a light, elegant, coloured metal frame and, instead of the tiles of Charlotte Høncke’s original design, it features a terrazzo top, made from surplus material from the kitchen industry, upcycled and put to new, meaningful use. The material is often used for kitchen worktops because of its robustness and maintenance-free surface, making it a perfect aesthetic, yet practical choice for Herringbone.

DESIGNER
Charlotte Høncke
The heritage and lines from the Nordic design tradition exist side by side with modern sophistication at Danish Charlotte Høncke. The industrial designer has a great love for, among other things, upholstered furniture, where it can be an original stitching, color combination or a surprising shape that arouses curiosity.
